Bass Drums

Our Four Bass Steel Tongue Drum is a set of four drums played as one instrument. The Four Bass is used to play Bass lines and low end melodies in the Ensemble. It has a two octave range starting on the C below middle C. Our Four Bass note layout is identical to that of the Double Seconds. This makes it easy to move players in the ensemble back and forth between the Bass Drums and the Double Seconds. It has a longer skirt (side of the drum) than the other two members of the Ensemble in order to add strength to its low pitched notes. Each drum has a 12 inch diameter and weighs 10 pounds.
