Bermuda Blue

Bermuda Blue is a Calypso steel drum group that performs as a trio and a full band. Influenced by dozens of Caribbean groups from the 1950s – 70s, Bermuda Blue performs traditional Calypso songs along with selections of American music and their own compositions.

Bermuda Blue has been performing since 1989. Brothers Sean and Kevin Martin started the group with friends in Ithaca, NY after building their first steel drums while attending Cornell University. Over the past 20 years they have blended folk and Calypso music using a variety of instruments. Bermuda Blue plays drums built by Rockcreek Steel Drums.

The Bermuda Blue Trio

This ensemble is a combination of three players playing steel drum, acoustic guitar, vocals and shakers or other Caribbean instruments. The trio is perfect for a Caribbean or beach inspired event that would benefit from low key background music. This combination also works well for a wedding rehearsal dinner or cocktail hour.

The Bermuda Blue Full Band

The 5-piece Bermuda Blue band also includes a bass and drum kit and is the best choice for events where there will be dancing.

Steel Drum Soloist

We also offer a steel drum soloist who will perform one hour of background Caribbean music.

For booking information contact KO Events (www.ko-events.com).

Bermuda Blue performs at clubs, events, festivals, weddings, private parties, concerts, taverns and in conjunction with Rockcreek Steel Drums’ Steel Drum Experience.
