About Us

Rockcreek Steel Drums manufactures and sells high-quality steel drums to a wide range of music lovers. Rockcreek also offers classes, with instruments provided for the beginner through intermediate player in the Annapolis, Maryland, area.
 

Kevin Martin, the owner of Rockcreek Steel Drums, has studied steel drum building since 1989. Kevin’s building is a natural extension of his pan playing, which has been honed through his membership in the bands the Geckos, High Tide Steel Drum Band, and Caribbean Cocktail. Kevin graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Policy Analysis with a concentration in International Trade and Finance. He hand builds each and every Rockcreek steel drum.

Mike Miller, education director of Rockcreek Steel Drums,  teaches music at Old Mill High School and is director of the Old Mill High School Steel Drum Band. He is the manager and a member of the High Tide Steel Drum Band, Caribbean Cocktail, and the Geckos. Mike graduated from the Towson University with a BA in Music Education and will soon complete  his graduate degree in Music Education. He designs and implements Rockcreek's educational programs.
